Sigue Sigue Sputnik to play live at our 80s Special in November

On Sat 24th November, plans are afoot for a very special two room finale to the end of 2012, with the Clubroom of 53 Degrees being an all-night full-on celebration of our fave decade - the EIGHTIES !!! News on that event will take shape over the next couple of months, but one thing we can confirm is 80s alt icon Martin Degville and keyboardist  Johann Wiedeman will be coming up form London to play live as SIGUE SIGUE SPUTNIK ELECTRONIC! As someone who grew up in the 80s Sputnik we're an immense influence on me, and such a big BIG 'fuck you' to so much of the tedium that the late 80s had become, and paved the way for much of the cybery future musics we have today (let alone pionered much including sampling movie clips into songs, something we take for granted these days).

The Clubroom will be a full on 80s event which promises to be a riot of all that was great about that legendary decade - from the wonderful boundless alternative underground whose records still stand of classics unsurpassed even today, to the preening party decadence of the the chart synthpop and electronics that helped define the decade. Meanwhile downstairs in 53 Degrees will be the Industrial Rock, EBM, Alt and more recent Goth things, where we'll be pumping up the intensity and bombast to the nth degree.

The date will be Sat 24th November so mark it in your calendars for what promised to be a hugely entertaining blow out party for 2012 (and to set you all up for Xmas - it's only going to £5 entry!)
